Safety & Security
Like all new Fords, the Ranger comes with a host of safety equipment for your peace of mind. Some of the features help you to keep control of the vehicle in challenging conditions, like Electronic Stability Control (ESC) that constantly monitors & senses when a vehicle is losing grip and applies a braking pulse to individual wheels to stabilise the vehicle. There’s even control features to help adapt your load, so you can carry your load without having to worry about rolling over.
Rangers Intelligent Protection System (IPS) combines an ultra rigid safety cell and full complement of standard airbags, collapsible steering column and pedals, seat belt pre-tensioner to reduce the risk of injury to passengers in the event of accidents.
Other features like Ford SYNC with Emergency Assistance to connect you to the emergency services you need in case of an accident – requires mobile phone connected.
The innovative alarm system alerts people around if someone is trying to break into your vehicle.
To make things even better, the Ford Ranger is the first pickup to get a five-star rating from Euro NCAP, making it the ideal work and family vehicle.
If you’re after a pickup truck, you’re probably interested in more than the aggressive aesthetic. When it comes to the Ford Ranger, you get more utility than you bargained for!
The pickup box has plenty of room for your tools and equipment that you need for work, and you can choose from a selection of load box covers such as the Rolling Lock top and glazed hardtops. The Ranger has a gross payload of over 1 tonne, and up to 3500kg towing capability, so towing a trailer for extra storage is no problem.
Working off-road? Add the optional Off-Road Pack (4X4 only) with added protection for engine, transfer case and fuel tank, reducing the risk of damage on uneven ground. An electronic locking rear differential provides increased traction when required.
If you’re worried about keeping your cargo safe & secure, you can opt for the c-channel cargo tie down system on each side of your load box. This comes as standard if you get the Ford Ranger Wildtrak or Limited.
There’s so much more than that, but we’d love to talk to you about it in person. Why don’t you visit us in branch and talk to one of our trained Ford CV specialists about your new Ford Ranger?
